Health Sciences Innovation Building

DESCRIPTION

Health Sciences Innovation BuildingState-of-the-art instructional spaces will offer simulated, real-life situations for teams of students, faculty and health professionals in medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health. The HSIB will offer flexible, large, medium and small group/team learning areas and clinical labs and simulation centers for a broad spectrum of instructional applications.

The 220,000-square-foot structure, to be located adjacent to the Medical Research Building (MRB) on the UA Health Sciences campus, will serve as the vanguard for interprofessional health education in the United States.

Status

Substantial Completion punchlist inspections are nearing completion. Life Safety inspections by State Fire Marshall are complete. Furniture and AV installations are nearing completion. 9th floor punchlist inspection will be soon. Misc. interior finish work is wrapping up. West exterior metal skin is nearing completion. Site work, loading dock, and hardscape/landscape are progressing .
